opiate addiction

Kratom- a miraculous little plant that can do soooo much! Unfortunately, many people still haven’t heard of kratom. It’s a plant that grows native in Southeast Asia. It is known for killing your pain, making you feel good, and especially for treating opiate addiction.

People contact us at Kratom Divine every single day explaining how they “fell into” opiate addiction thanks to their medical doctors giving them unlimited access to these dangerous drugs to treat their pain. They also complain that they “WANT THEIR LIFE BACK!” and they are sick and tired of living with their opiate addiction.

Here’s an excerpt we borrowed from the article linked to this post below-

I’ve worked rather hard my whole life, I’ve done everything from hanging drywall, to landscaping so as you can imagine, I was pretty rough on my body growing up.

Back in 2005, I had enough of the pain I was constantly in and went in for some pain management. The doctor that treated me diagnosed me with chronic lower back pain that also came with painful muscle spasms. Eventually I was pretty dependent on 180+mg of morphine a day. The Addiction that came with it was out of control, absolutely horrible.

I am also a medical marijuana patient now too, but at the time of my crazy addiction, I had failed a drug test for THC. I was instantly cut off of my pain medication, I of course had my remaining prescription, but knew I had to do something. I believe I was actually looking for an internet Doctor when I first read the word Kratom. Through more surfing, I eventually looked into more information about the stuff. I finally just tried Kratom. I was absolutely amazed at the fact that it really managed my pain and spasm’s. The best part about Kratom is that my addiction to pills just kind of went away. I never felt like I “Needed” opiates again. My stress and anxiety is even better.

I take Kratom religiously… twice a day every day now. I pretty much vowed to introduce this god given herb to everyone I possibly can. I have, and probably always will see people struggle with pain and addiction to pain medications, and I’ll be the first one to hand out some Kratom. If I can potentially save lives, even just help someone in need… You Bet I Will! I am living proof of the positive change this tree can make in someone’s life.

Is Kratom an Opiate? We are glad you asked.

Is kratom an opiate?

Is Kratom an Opiate?

No it is not. Kratom does not contain opioids. It contains a number of alkaloids that do in fact bond with some of the same receptors that opiates might. However, it is a great deal more selective in its mechanism of action and only interacts with a very small subset of opioid receptors.

Though kratom does not contain opioids, kratom acts like an endorphin that stimulates the opioid receptors in your brain. It does this without causing the damaging long-term effects that opiates do. Because of this, it can bring the body and mind important relief for a myriad of health issues, without the risk of physical opiate addiction.

Opiate-Like Effects

Is kratom an opiate? No! Then why do people often mistakenly think kratom is opiate related? Some have pointed out that there are some similarities in the way you might feel with either type of substance. These include body sensations of pain relief, or mental feelings of relaxation. Kratom is mainly used as the powder of a crushed dry leaves. It is not treated with chemicals and altered in a lab. This is not the case for most opiates. But even though almost all modern drugs we call opiates are refined by chemical processes, many people remember that opiates originated as poppy plants, and the confusion with all-natural plant remedies grows.

Another important difference between kratom and opiates is intent. Kratom is widely used as a medicinal herb and has been for many thousands of years. Its users employ it as a therapy for physical ailments like chronic pain, and mental challenges like depression and anxiety. These are perfectly valid reasons for exploring kratom, and many believe this is indeed why the Earth provided it. As with many things in nature, we are often given natural solutions to our problems that literally grow right out of the ground. Kratom capsules, used responsibly, are one such solution.

So there you have the answer to the question: Is kratom an opiate? No. it is a plant that been used for thousands of years as a medicinal herb.
